This is one of three different flavors for Vega. I like the berry flavor the most, but all three are great alkaline, whole-foods, plant-based mixes. They mix well with a banana and water, or into a smoothie, but I guess you can just drink them with water or nondairy milk.
I can't find any other product like Vega on the market; something that's vegan, raw, and balanced for an athletic lifestyle. Plus they taste great, and you don't feel weighted down after drinking the stuff. I think their website has a link for a free sample too.
I have to say, I am absolutely IN LOVE with this product! As a vegan, I have been searching for a product that tastes decent, is low in sugar, and has a good amount of protein. This gave me all that and so much more! First, the taste is great, especially compared to some other products on the market. It never did me any good to buy some of the others because they tasted so bad that I could never finish them, and would end up wasting a great deal of product, and therefore MONEY. The chocolate VEGA tastes almost like a chocolate mocha. It is rich and filling, and mixes well. It is full of vitamins, fiber, protein and antioxidants. It uses stevia, but stevia is not listed in the "ingredients" section, rather, it is listed in the listed in with the nutrients. If you are incredibly sensitive to the taste of stevia this may not be the product for you. I generally do not like stevia; however, I cannot really taste the stevia in this.
I have used VEGA for months now. My energy levels have increased, I sleep better at night, and I have a much better overall sense of wellness. As an added bonus my skin, hair and nails all look much better. It is filling, tasty and nutritious.
Normally, I have one scoop mixed with soymilk in the morning, with a waffle, or some other small breakfast item. This keeps me full until lunch, and then I have another scoop, and another small meal. Just make sure to drink plenty of water with this, as it is full of fiber. I would happily recommend this to anyone, vegan or carnivore!
